#okay can i just talk for a second about how much i love how steve and danny physically relate to one another #i know i’ve expounded on the beauty of steve’s growth as a tactile human before #thanks to danny worming his way into steve’s comfort zone #but look at this - danny has literally just SHOT a man and not just any man but his ex-wife’s new husband #and if danny were anyone else - even someone steve liked very much - he would have had them down on the ground and cuffed in a split second #but no - all danny does is press his palm to steve’s chest - TO HIS HEART - and speak earnestly and desperately at steve #and steve’s gaze focuses on him for a long moment like he’s frozen - but danny’s hand rests there and steve calms for a split second #at least long enough for danny to tug on his vest just slightly #as if assuring himself of steve’s wholeness - before steve focuses on the next task before him: help stan so that he can get to danny #god it’s beautiful
